CELEBRATING AN ARCHITECT’S JOURNEY: ACHIEVEMENTS AND DEDICATION TO THE CRAFT
Architecture is a field that demands a deep passion for design, an eagerness to learn and unwavering commitment. One of our project directors, Erick Soulière, is an exceptional architect who has demonstrated these qualities throughout his career and has recently reached a substantial milestone in his career. After years of hard work, dedication and a desire for success, Erick has achieved certifications from the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) and L’Ordre des architectes du Québec (OAQ), an incredible feat that deserves recognition.
Erick’s passion for architecture long precedes his pursuit of higher education. Even before embarking on his technologist degree from La Cité Collégiale, he was captivated by the beauty and complexity of architectural design. With this enthusiasm fuelling his ambition, he delved into his studies, honing his technical and conceptual skills over the three-year program.
Determined to broaden his understanding and contribute further value to the field, Erick’s ambition led to him pursuing further education – completing a minor in urban planning, a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in architecture which spanned an impressive nine years.
With his firm beliefs in continuous personal and professional development, he sought to expand his horizons and deepen his expertise even after completing his formal education and entering the job market. This drive to acquire new knowledge led him to obtain a graduate diploma in project management.
Through hands-on projects, real-world challenges and the depth of knowledge he has acquired through years of studying, Erick has developed his skills and expanded his repertoire. His commitment to personal growth and his contributions to the firm have made him an asset within the Rossmann Architecture team.
“Over the past four to five years, I’ve mostly focused on acquiring experience and practical knowledge and contributing all that I can to the growth of the firm. Deciding to take the architect certification exam last year was, for me, the culmination of a journey that lasted almost 15 years.”
Determined to achieve professional recognition for his expertise and dedication, this step demonstrated not only his commitment to personal growth but also his unwavering devotion to the architectural profession.
“I’m happy to finally be a registered architect in two provinces not for the title but for what it represents. For me it signifies the start of a journey filled with new and different goals and objectives.”
